t is a sea area of about 100 large and small islands spreading between Sumbawa Island and Flores Island. This area is Indonesia’s only savanna climate and unique landscape. It is designated as a World Natural Heritage site because it is ecologically and biologically distinctive either on land or under water in the Straits of the Straits connecting the Flores sea to the north and the Indian Ocean spread to the south.
Raja Ampat was introduced to the National Geographic magazine in 2007 as “the ocean of miracle” and is one of the most noteworthy places in the world now. Legend has it that Raja Ampat means four kings, the biological layer is one of the best in the area where multiple plates overlap! The underwater landscape is also characteristic and it is the topic of the world nowadays.
Cendrawasih Bay is a big bay in the northern part of the Indonesian Territory New Guinea (Irian Jaya). There are many diving sites in this bay, here is also said the treasure of regional species which is said to be endemic species & Cendrawasih color. It is one of interesting area where the whale shark gather together and you can enjoy diving and relaxingly.
We can observe the leatherback turtle that comes to spawn to the beach (WWF protected area) in West Paph. State (between Solon and Manokwari). We can dive for 1 or 2 days at Raja Ampat, for 1 day around the beach (Miossu Island) where the turtle spawns and for 2days at wreck site and the other dive site in Maumere.
Here is the interesting terrain area by volcanic activity. We can enjoy diving at hot spring area and also can see very interesting biological layer at this area.
It is the route between Maumere where the biggest town in the eastern part of Flores Island and Kalabahi Bay in Alor Island on the end of East Nusa Tenggara.
